SafeCoat Protective Fire Retardant Treatments

Safecoat products are highly effective, environmentally friendly and economical fire retardant treatments. They can be used to fire retard fabrics, straw, cardboard paper and practically all water absorbent materials.

Safecoat FR 31 Fire Retardant Fabric Treatment
Highly effective fire retardant for most water absorptive material
Apply by spray, padding or immersion
Tested to meet CAN/CGSB 4.2 27.1MS on 100% cotton,
100% polyester and 65/35 cotton/polyester blend
Does not substantially alter the feel of the fabric
Odourless and colorless
Sizes: 1 gallon jugs, 5 gallon pails, 55 gallon drums

Safecoat FR 41 Fire Retardant Fabric Treatment
Highly effective fire retardant for substrates and fabrics that are tougher to treat, such as nylon and other less absorptive fibres.
Apply by spray, padding or immersion
Does not substantially alter the feel of the fabric
Odourless and colorless
Fabric must be somewhat absorptive in order for FR 41 to be effective

Intumescent Putty
This passive fire control product is a non hardening, intumescent compound designed to seal through penetrations of electrical wires and cables against the spread of fire, smoke, fumes and toxic gases in 1 and 2 hour rated assemblies. When exposed to high temperatures, the putty will expand up to 3 times its original volume filling in gaps and voids. The putty is mouldable, remains flexible and adheres to most construction materials, which allows for easy installation and reusability.
 

Fire Retardant Blankets
Fire blankets are found in a number of residential and commercial settings as well as the movie industry. They are commonly found in situations where extinguishing a fire with water would be difficult, such as grease, oil and electrical fires. They are also found where people's clothing may catch fire.

In the household, fire blankets are located in the kitchen to assist with grease fires on the stove. In commercial garages, fire blankets are located near oil storage or engine work to assist with oil and grease fires. In commercial settings where sparks are present (foundries, welding shops), fire blankets are available in case sparks ignite an employee's clothing. In some cases, fire blankets are found around electrical equipment such as computers or generators.
